The Y-strainer is designed to remove solid particles and impurities from pipelines, effectively protecting valves, pumps, flow meters, and other equipment from clogging, abrasion, or contamination. With its compact body, flexible installation options, and easy blow-down cleaning, the Y-strainer is ideal for general industrial applications involving water, oil, gas, and chemical fluids. Compared to basket strainers, the Y-type is better suited for low to medium flow rates and installations with limited space.
